My grandmother, aunt and uncle are visiting form Australia. Sombody told them that I like to cook, and so tonight they asked me to make dinner. In a scurry I searched the fridge and freezer and I found these little bad boys. Cornish Game Hens. Three of them, some root vegetables, and at the last few minutes, I threw a few stalks of asparagus in the center. They were delicious.

Game Hen
I learned how to roast simple birds from this great man named Thomas Keller, using this great thing called the internet. I can not stop. Every moment I am awake I fantasize about savoring the simple pleasure of roasted birds. I want to roast all kinds of birds, just like the game hen you see above. Salt, pepper, bird, and butchers twine. Its all you need. I put some root veggies in, and grilled some asparagus on the side, but really, the bird is the main attraction here. Half a Cornish hen, roasted to perfection, simple, savory, perfect.

Got home from work, opened up the fridge, pulled out the dark meat from a Cornish Hen, grated some smoked Gouda and mozzarella, butter, tortilla, salt, garlic, chili, Heaven... Oh an I may have done a little bit of chili honey glazing on the game hen.
