Beach Daze
Southern California is a wonderful place to live. During the summer every day is like a beach themed playtime. Its much like the little mermaid. Friendly sea creatures come out to perform musical numbers while everybody surfs and plays in the waves! We had a great day at the beach yesterday, and I managed to snap a few shots.

Not a photo, a clip I took from a screenshot that made me feel quite uneasy. I took down all my content from FaceB a month or so ago because of their horrible digital rights management etc. I woke up one morning with this nightmare of checking my facebook and seeing one of my shots in a banner ad for some rubbish dating site. I paniced and tore down my content as fast as I could. It sickens me a little to think that it might be on some FaceB server achived somewhere for them to sell. Anyways if you are creative, and you think that FaceB might be a neat place to network and showcase your art, do as I did; then host your materials off site. Facebook is pretty nifty, I love everything it provides for me. But remember, FaceB is also the devil.

Banh Coun
I'm pretty sure I spelled that word wrong, so if any of you know Vietnamese please help me out. I'm not actually sure that is what this dish is called, except that it is delicious. Rice noodles wrapped around pork and mushrooms. Topped with a blend of cucumbers, herbs, sprouts, and toasted garlic. The dish is then finished with the gentle sweet tang of fish sauce. mmmm so Vietnamese.

Ribs. I eated them
Ribs ribs ribs, they are delicious. My good friend and mentor Christopher Curtis made these a few weeks ago. Magically delicious pork ribs, seasoned and soft, slathered in Blackberry BBQ sauce which is so good that it has forever changed my life.

New York Steak
Steak. To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure if this counts as more of a steak or a roast because of its size and the way it is served, however I do know that the cut of beef would be New York Steak if we were to cut steaks out of it so thats what it is. Steak. I want it, in my mouth, right now. mmmmmhgph.

Figs
Figs. I never knew how much I liked figs. I mean newtons are a cake and not a cookie, but this is an entirely different animal. Above you see figs. Stuffed with almonds and blue cheese, wrapped in double thick bacon, pan seared and baked to melty blue cheese almond perfection. purr. feck. shun.

Character
Very seldom in life do you stumble upon individuals with character. Two weeks ago I spent a week away at Forest Home volunteering with the youth at summer camp; there I met Malka. She is such an individual. She deans for the High School camp, leading youth and telling her story. I was fortunate enough to hear her story and take her picture!

The 4th of July
The 4th of July, Independence Day, National BBQ and Blow stuff up for America day. I love America. I love voting, and politics, and speech, and BBQ. Above you will find a Trip Tip, Habenero Chicken Sausage, and Cilantro Lime Serrano JalapeƱo Chicken Wings. It was a good day for me, full of food and friends and explosions.
